About Acapulco

Click to enlarge After being a popular destination way back in the 70’s….Acapulco is making a HUGE comeback! Located on the Pacific Ocean amongst a beautiful range of mountains, Acapulco has recently become the most popular Spring Break destination one the west coast of Mexico. A combination of Mexican culture, beautiful scenery, unbelievable sunsets and heart thumping clubs has elevated Acapulco’s standing to a favorite Spring Break destination!

In the last several years, thousands of students have made Acapulco their Spring Break choice. The flight is a little longer, but that’s what you get when you head that far south! Acapulco is most well-known for its huge clubs such as Palladium, Mandera, Disco Beach and El Alebrije. Some even hold up to 3500 people! Several of these clubs are on the side of the mountains and have breathtaking views of the whole bay at night. It is truly remarkable and something you have to see for yourself.

In sync with our other destinations, Acapulco has a wide range of hotels and activities. During the day take in all the sun you want at your hotel or on the beach with the nearly perfect weather during Spring Break, or engage in water activities such as: jet skiing, para-sailing, wave runners, banana boat rides, bungee jumping and much more. If you want to see something really cool, go check out the world famous Acapulco cliff divers. These guys jump from over 70 feet and miss the rocks by inches! Don’t get any crazy ideas!

The entire resort area of Acapulco is a relatively close area located conveniently within a 4 mile stretch of mostly beachfront hotels, restaurants and nightlife. A short cab ride will get you anywhere you want to go. The people of Acapulco are exceptionally friendly and welcome American tourists. Ask our All Star STAFF for more information about unique things to do and see on your trip, like: Where is the best little taco stand? Where can I get the cheapest Mexican made blanket? Because of the Mexican heritage of Acapulco you get to experience a little more Mexican flavor in Acapulco than some other more “touristy” resort cities.

As with our other destinations, you have several options for accommodations. You can stay in an entry-level hotel (ideal for poor college students) or go for the ritzy 6 star quality Hyatt Regency resort. The most popular hotels are the La Palapa, Copacabana and Playa Suites. Sign-up soon for these popular hotels, as they are sure to sell out. Many people choose all-inclusive hotels in Acapulco. Ask your All Star sales representative which hotel fits your needs…and your budget!

We look forward to helping you have the time of your life making the most of those “Acapulco Nights”!
